Euro-3 Certificates

Euro-3 Certificate (as 2 and 4) - certifies that car exported or imported into Russia, corresponds to all international and accepted in Russia norms and requirements of Technical regulations of ROSTEKHREGULIROVANIE, and corresponds to Euro-3 class of quality.

Ecological certificate testifies that car, in the course of its activity will not create harmful exhausts and negatively influence atmosphere.

Ecological standard of Euro-3 has started to operate since January, 1st, 2008. New requirements concern second-hand foreign cars imported on the territory of Russia.

According to new technical regulations it is foreseen to create two databases, comprising:

1. Models, marks, updatings of cars which have already met with of 1996 approval in territory of Russia as corresponding to Euro-2 norms;
2. Information on certificates of conformity earlier given out in Russian territory.

These monthly updated bases are in free access on the website of ROSTEKHREGULIROVANIE. Acknowledgement of conformity of new automobile technics (not been in operation) to Euro-3 requirements is carried out by "Approval of type of a vehicle". If automobile technics was maintained earlier, Conformity Certificate – document confirming conformity of automobile technics and engines put on it to requirements of specified regulations is necessary.

Euro-3 Certificate and list of documents necessary for its registration:

1. For physical persons:
• demand;
• copy of passport of owner of the car;
• data about the car (mark, model, VIN, body №, engine № etc.);
• document confirming conformity of a vehicle to "EURO 3" ecological class and above (certificates of approval of type of a vehicle, foreign certificates of type (BRIEF, TITLE), foreign PTS or expert judgement); for old cars – document on re-equipment.
2. For legal bodies:
• demand;
• certificate on registration of a legal person, assured by seal;
• certificate on registering in tax department, assured by seal;
• data about car (mark, model, VIN, body №, engine № etc.);
• document confirming conformity of a vehicle to "EURO 3" ecological class and above (certificates of approval of type of a vehicle, foreign certificates of type (BRIEF, TITLE), foreign PTS or expert judgement). For old cars – document on re-equipment.
